Kaduna polytechnic Courses,Cut-off Mark and School Fees For All Courses 2026/2027

Kaduna Polytechnic, one of the oldest and most popular polytechnics in Nigeria, is a federal-owned polytechnic that is located in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna State, a major state among Northern states.

While Kaduna Polytechnic’s main campus is located in Tudun Wada, other campuses are located in Unguwan Rimi, Sabon Tasha, and Barnawa.

The history of Kaduna Polytechnic started as far back as 1956 when the polytechnic was established as Kaduna Technical Institute, which is based on the approval of the British government, as Nigeria was under British rule then. In 1962, based on the Northern Nigeria Executive Council, Kaduna Technical Institute was charged to Polytechnic, Kaduna.

In 1968 a fresh beginning opened for the institution when the federal government changed the name of the institution from Polytechnic, Kaduna, to Kaduna Polytechnic under a decree that also saw the government take over the institution as part of the institution managed by them.

In 1968, in a bid for Kano Polytechnic to expand, it merged two training centers, namely, the College of Science and Technology and the Staff Development Center, with the survey unit also added to it later; these newly emerged centers formed the four-college structure in the 1970s.

Kaduna Polytechnic initially started with just over 158 students in 1968 and increased to thousands of students in the following two years. Based on the current statistics of 2025/2026, the polytechnic currently has over 25,000, offering over 100 programs in the institution.

Kaduna Polytechnic was a polytechnic that was brought up with the effort and hard work of various Nigerian northern leaders, including the late Premier Ahmadu Bello, the late Alhaji Isa Kaita, and many others.

The institution currently operates over 40 academic departments with over 2000 staff members working as academic and non-academic staff. The institution is currently sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).

Kaduna Polytechnic has produced many outstanding alumni that have worked in the Nigerian sector, and many are currently serving in Nigeria’s political sector.

Kaduna Polytechnic offers all kinds of programs you want to study, from ND programs, HND programs, and diploma programs to also NCE programs.

Interested in Kano Polytechnic? Whether you want to apply as a new student, returning student, or are already a returning student in the institution and want to know more about the polytechnic, we will provide more details into this in this article.
