Anchor University is a privately owned university that is located in Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos State. The university is a faith-based university that is established and owned by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry.

The plan to establish Anchor University was a plan proposed by Deeper Christian Life Ministry in 2012, and the Christian organization made a bold move for establishing the university by seeking the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC), but these did not go as planned in 2012, as the team involved in the inspection was involved in an air crash that led to loss of life, which led to the suspension of the visit by accreditation bodies.

Two years after the event which is in the year 2014 Anchor University was visited by National Universities Commission (NUC) to check whether the institution is up to standard of what it claimed to be and to make proper investigation Whether the university can offer courses in the institution.

Two years after the official visit by the National Universities Commission (NUC), the university was able to gain accreditation to offer degree courses in the institution in the year 2016.

The university was established by Deeper Christian Life Ministry to address gaps in quality education by fostering holistic development among students, emphasizing moral integrity with academic rigor.

• Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, and other relevant O’Level subjects.

• Candidates awaiting WAEC/SSCE results may also apply.

• Admission is available into 200 Level for qualified candidates

• Acceptable qualifications include OND, Advanced Level Certificate, JUPEB Certificate, NCE Certificate, and other equivalent certificates.

• Transfer students from other universities within and outside Nigeria may apply.
