Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery,commonly known as Eleyele School of Nursing, is a school of nursing that is located in Eleyele, Ibadan.
Eleyele School of Nursing was established in 1949, and it is the first known college of nursing that was established in Nigeria. At the time of establishment, the institution was situated temporarily at the Old Army Barracks in Eleyele, Ibadan, while the midwifery school was situated temporarily in Yemetu in 1954.
The School of Nursing was established with the motive of training nurses that will provide nursing care for the citizens of Nigeria that live in both urban and rural settlements.
In 2005, through the enabling acts of the Oyo State Assembly, the Oyo State School of Nursing, Eleyele, and the Oyo State School of Midwifery were merged together to form the Oyo State School of Nursing and Midwifery, Eleyele.
In 2005, following the merging of the two schools, the institution was upgraded to the status of college, but despite the upgradement of the institution, academic activities and formal operation started on 7th March 2014.

Admission Requirements
● Candidates applying for basic general nursing must score at least 200 in JAMB and choose Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Eleyele, as their preferred institution.
● Applicants must possess a WAEC/SSCE/GCE or NECO/SSCE/GCE with at least five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
● The required five credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings from the same examination body.
● Applicants must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.
● Candidates applying for basic midwifery must possess WAEC/SSCE/GCE or NECO/SSCE/GCE with at least five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
● The required credits for basic midwifery must be obtained in not more than two sittings from the same examination body.
● Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.
● Applicants for Post Basic Nursing must possess WAEC/SSCE/GCE or NECO/SSCE/GCE with at least five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
● The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
● Candidates applying for Post Community Nursing/Midwifery must be a Community Registered Nurse (CRN) or Community Registered Midwife registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
● Applicants for Post Community Nursing/Midwifery must also have WASSCE/NECO (O’Level) credits in five subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, in not more than two sittings.

Eleyele School of Nursing being a college does not exempt the institution from the requirement of using JAMB; in fact, this is compulsory if you are to be given admission to the institution. The JAMB cut-off mark for all courses in the institution is 200 and above.
