Federal Polytechnic Bauchi is a federally owned polytechnic that is located in Bauchi Tafawa, Bauchi State. The institution was established on November 22, 1979, when the laying down of the institution was laid down by the federal government of Nigeria.
Federal Polytechnic Bauchi History began in May 1979 when the groundwork was laid, and the full operation commenced in the following month, after which, on November 22, 1979, a population of 224 students was enrolled across 11 departments as of that year.
The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi temporary site of the polytechnic operated across Yandoka Road for administrative purposes, and also part of Bauchi Teachers College was used for student use, including the hostel, cafeteria, and others.
The transition of the federal polytechnic began in 1981 when it relocated to Walo for academic activities; this served part of the polytechnic’s purpose.
