Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) is a state government-owned polytechnic that is located in Ojere, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The establishment and history of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic were influenced by the Federal Government of Nigeria’s White Paper on Technical Education, which emphasizes that technical education is needed for technological development and so technical schools should be introduced at both the state and federal levels.

In 1980 Moshood Abiola Polytechnic was established and began academic activities with just 220 students, 29 academic officers, and 5 senior administrative officers at its temporary sites at Oke Egunya and Onikolobo, both in Abeokuta. The Polytechnic moved to its permanent site in 1985 at Ojere, where it was situated on 959 hectares of land.

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic at the initial stage of establishment was named Ogun State Polytechnic before it was changed to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in 1999 in honor of the late Chief MKO Abiola, who is a major benefactor of the institution.
