SAMUEL ADEGBOYEGA UNIVERSITY, now known as Glorious Vision University, is a private faith-based university that is located in Ogwa, Edo State. The university was founded by the Apostolic Church, LAWNA.
Glorious Vision University’s history can be traced back to 2005, when a prophetic ministration and, therefore, committee was set up and was charged with the establishment of the university. Plans and activities were commenced until 2011, when the plan yielded the effort.
In 2011 the university was granted approval and a license by the federal government to establish the university in the institution; academic activities commenced in the same year, with the 2011/2012 commencing that same year. The initial set graduated in 2015 after the completion of their academic program.
Glorious Vision University in 2018, through the report of the Vice Chancellor of the University, stated that the University was granted accreditation for 14 programs that were offered in the institution; also, the same year, the University was granted approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer 13 postgraduate courses in the institution, and these have been running since the 2018/2019 academic session.

Admission Requirement
• Candidates must have a minimum score of 160 for nursing science, while 150 is for all other programs.
• Candidates must have five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, and these must include English Language and Mathematics, and results must not be more than two sittings.
• Candidates who did not initially choose the institution must process a Change of Institution through the JAMB CAPS Portal.
Direct Entry (DE) Requirements
• For 200-level admission, candidates must possess the O’Level requirements in addition to approved Direct Entry qualifications.
• Direct Entry Applicants must also have at least one of the following: at least two A-Level passes, a National Diploma (ND), or a National Certificate in Education (NCE). The university also accepts JUPEB, IJMB, or HND certificates.

• Inter-University Transfer Candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 1.5 and a valid JAMB admission letter from the current university.

Glorious Vision University Hostel Fee
Hostel accommodation is available at the university, and it is optional and not compulsory for all. Based on the 2023/2024 academic year, the university mandated the hostel fee, but from 2025/2026, the hostel is now optional, and the fees have to be paid separately from the school fees.
